Once analysis has been done, there remain many tasks to take the project from the design concept to the site. The analysis model is exported from the FEA software and imported in a suitable CAD package (Computer Aided Design). Note that the descrition is 'aided'. This means that the software is a tool to aid design, not its master.
Below we show an example mesh and an output of the geometry of a typical job. This aids the design of the foundations. The reaction loads are used to design the supporting steelwork for the project.
The surface of the roof is 'rolled flat' in software to allow manufacture. See Patterning.
